my "husband" got scrubbed from existence, all his crap is gone and the neighbors are acting like he never existed. that the kind of missing you mean?

My "husband" disappeared the same way as yours. My sympathies. Even though it's... weird to be assigned a partner like that, it's still better than being alone.

if you want a husband, more power to you, but wouldn't you rather one you pick? and just asking for better company than the cardboard cutouts floating around town is shockingly low standards. you can definitely do better than that.

But, I mean, I want a lot of things right now. Like not being in this horrifying hell-dream place. Honestly in the list of wishes, getting laid is not the highest priority.

getting laid is definitely more difficult in 1961 but not impossible. probably easier than finding someone worth marrying in this dump, though

( which sounds like a compliment, and maybe it is, but it also being that sweet and charming usually comes with an implicit fragility. a naiveté that is bound to break sooner or later, especially if it results in making fast friends with someone who definitely better off held at arms length or farther.

but Carmilla isn't going to shoot herself in the foot and point that out, obviously. )

try and stay out of trouble, cutie. and i'm betting snooping too much into the missing is exactly that.

We're already in trouble, really. The best defense is more information. We just ... shouldn't try to get it alone. It's important to rely on each other, I think.
